"Inclusive leaders understand that diversity is a fact, and inclusion is a personally significant decision. Without being inclusive, leaders can't expect a culture of psychological safety, collaboration, engagement, respect and belonging at work. Something all teams deserve and expect to have at work."

    HOW TO USE THIS self-ASSESSMENT

You will be self-assessing on the eight key skills of inclusive leaders. Each of these skills are important for leaders to convey inclusion and belonging. Make sure you don't overthink your responses, or try to give yourself higher ratings because that makes you look good or feel better as a leader. This is a private exercise for you, so make the most of it by being honest about your current behaviours. This will help you get unstuck when you read about your scores and what they mean. You will find ideas and insights to think differently about these eight skills and get moving in the direction of being a more inclusive leader that teams want to work with, follow and rally around in tough times.

    What can you expect

This self-assessment and workbook offer an easy method to assess yourself on the eight behaviours that can help leaders lead inclusively. These behaviours raise chances for your team to experience inclusion, fairness, safety, respect, empathy and belonging at the workplace.

    HOW THIS CAME ABOUT

I put this self-assessment together after studying and teaching inclusiveness to leaders at various levels. Recent research studies on inclusive leadership have served to affirm my thinking. Not to mention, my real world leadership experiments with inclusion have proven to be credible leadership behaviours that drive respect and belonging.
